An Introduction to his Anthropology
The seminar takes place within the frame of the Beijing Communio Study Circles, which aim at a fruitful encounter between modern philosophy and Catholic thought as based on the sources of the Christian Mystery, in the spirit of the international Journal Communio.
To enter the thought of Hans Urs von Balthasar we choose the anthropology which the Swizz theologian exposes in Man in History: A Theological Study. From a formal perspective the purpose of the seminar is to learn to analyse it, identifying some keys on reading his writings. In terms of substance, we try to explore a path towards the center of his whole work: the significance of Man in Sacred and Secular History.
